Detail of choroidal neovascularization (CNV)
ncRNA name p22phox-siRNA
ncRNA Category siRNA
Disease name choroidal neovascularization (CNV)
Species Mus musculus
Tissues/Cell_line retinas and RPE/choroids
Methods Western blot, immunofluorescent localization, in situ hybridization, siRNA injection, ELISA
Expression pattern associated
Functional description A small-interfering RNA (siRNA) designed against p22phox efficiently reduced the expression of the protein in the eye when delivered by means of recombinant adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector. Vector treatment inhibited CNV in the mouse when delivered into the subretinal space where RPE cells were transduced.
